In California, Cannabis Events Are Thriving

From festivals to expos, cannabis was heavily represented at events all throughout California this summer.

Sparking up a joint has been de rigueur at outdoor concerts since an amplified E chord first rang out across a field of rock ‘n’ rollers sometime in the early ’60s. But if you happened to be in California for Outside Lands or the Northern Lights Music Festival in Mendocino County, you could purchase and consume marijuana on-site in cannabis-themed areas and not have to worry about looking over your shoulder for The Man to come and hassle you about your J.

The Bureau of Cannabis Control has issued 16 temporary cannabis event licenses, which allow the sale of marijuana at outdoor events. There have even been cannabis-themed wedding expos. To read more, click here.
