Lily Kershaw Delivers Another Gem With “Arcadia”

“Always & Forever” features a co-write with actress Emma Roberts.

Buzzbands blogger Kevin Bronson said it best when he wrote that LA artist Lily Kershaw “writes captivating ballads and sings them as if she’s the only person in this entire noisy city holding a conversation.” On Arcadia, her sophomore follow-up to 2013’s Midnight in the Garden, Kershaw delves deeper into the arresting introspection that’s made her a critics darling with the likes of CNN and American Songwriter. The new album was produced by Ben Cooper (Radical Face), and features 11 tracks that Nylon calls “raw, authentic, and unfiltered.”

In a 2014 interview with Lemonade Magazine, Kershaw said “By writing about the things I’ve experienced I get to take my power back by creating something out of the things I have lived. I usually write to make something beautiful out of something that feels broken or out of place. Songwriting heals me.”

You can dive deeper into Kershaw’s songwriting process in her profile on CNN’s Music Monday series here, and read more about “Always & Forever” here.
