Singer Turned ‘Actress’ Hana Vu Set to Release New EP

Nicole Kidman / Anne Hathaway is due in late October via Luminelle.

Hanna Vu may not really have silver screen aspirations, but her current single and upcoming EP are both inspired by the interviews she watched on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Actresses Roundtable.” Speaking about her latest single, the 19-year-old recently told Billboard, “‘Actress’ is about the compromise of personal values in order to be conventionally successful, and how that may manifest over time.”

Vu’s first EP, How Many Times Have You Driven By, was released last year to critical acclaim, with outlets like Pitchfork, the FADER and NME singing the praises of the teenager’s vocal maturity. The new EP is set to drop October 25 on Luminelle Recordings. Vu is also set to embark on a fall tour with Phantogram this month. You can check out tour dates and watch the video for “Actress” here.
